Professional History

															I've learned a lot over the past four years, serving the brilliant students and dedicated faculty at the Boston Architectural College.
I started out at the Boston Architectural College as a Library Clerk while I was earning my MLIS at Simmons University. It was the perfect opportunity to practice fundamental library duties and gain experience working a reference desk and helping patrons. We worked on special projects too, like cataloging eBooks and setting up displays.
I was very lucky to be given the opportunity to interview for the Manager of Collections and Outreach position when I graduated from Simmons with my degree. As of 2022, I have been the collections manager for our circulating library materials at the BAC, and also been in charge of our outreach initiatives, which include social media, displays, and events.
When the Associate Director position opened up in 2023, I was promoted into the role, which, along with all my previous duties, involved assisting with budget management, staff hiring, and the training and scheduling of all of our part-time library clerks.
I am grateful for the opportunity to grow my skills and take up new responsibilities at the BAC. I've learned so much from the amazing collections there and my dedicated coworkers.
Internship:
Northeast Historic Film
				Metadata generation for audiovisual materials
While studying at Simmons, I had the opportunity to intern at Northeast Historic Film, an archive that focuses on preserving and collecting moving image materials that depict the northeast US.
I entered metadata for multiple donated collections of home movies, as well as conducted an interview with a donor to gather more information for a collection-level description.

															Academic History

															From Pacific to Atlantic ->
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at George Fox University in 2020. My degree focused on research methods, which involved creating and conducting reliable and valid surveys and analyzing the data they returned. My minor was in writing, and I served as an editor at our university's student-run newspaper.
I gained my MLIS from Simmons University in Dec. 2021, with a focus on Archives and audiovisual archiving. I participated in a 60 hour practicum which involved processing a collection of over 600 items and creating both a finding aid and Omeka exhibit.
